Best Places to Work Submission Deadline is Dec. 3

If you haven’t already registered for the 2011 Best Places to Work in Indiana program, don’t let these excuses stop you:

  • We’re an exceptional business, but we probably won’t win. There are too many applicants. Response: You can’t win if you don’t apply.
  • Employees won’t provide honest input when completing a workplace satisfaction questionnaire because they’re afraid of angering senior management. Response: ALL answers are anonymous.
  • My dog ate my application. Response: Download a new one.

All honorees will be recognized at an awards ceremony on May 5, 2011 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in downtown Indianapolis (take a peek at last year’s celebration with this video) and be featured in a variety of statewide communications, including a special section of BizVoice® magazine.

Here’s what a couple of past winners had to say about the program. Each has made the list since the program began in 2006:

  • David Resnick, managing partner at Katz, Sapper & Miller, a CPA firm located in Indianapolis, declares, "It’s been a tremendous help for us in college recruiting. Students go directly to our web site, and they see (our honor) and it really impresses them."
  • Dennis Rohrs, director of human resources at Fort Wayne Metals Research Corporation, says that participating can answer the ongoing question, "What can we do to better meet our employees’ expectations?"

Winners are named in two categories: large and small-medium (companies need 15 employees to apply compared to 25 in previous years). The entry deadline is December 3. Learn more about the program and register.
